3 ways to incorporate pastels into your spring looks

We don’t want to show favoritism here, but we’re so ready to inject a little lot of color into our day to day looks! Minimalist whites, creams, and dark hues are fine, but once spring rolls around we are ready for pastels in all shapes and forms! Give us some periwinkle, lilac, and soft pinks and you’ll think we’re trying to match the new blooms. And don’t think it’s only us! We’ve rounded up our favorite 3 ways to incorporate pastels into your spring looks to add a little spring in your step!

1. All of the accessories

Yes, all of them. We’re obsessing over these pastel blue sandals that Anna of A Lily Love Affair snapped! They would pair perfectly with a bright pedicure, or make a statement on their own. Adding pastel accessories is a great way to add a little oomf to an otherwise minimal outfit and act as a focal point!

2. Pile on the pastels!

Follow in Alicia’s footsteps and rock a pastel cardigan, dress, or shorts, and don’t look back! This is the perfect way to wear bright colors without being too obnoxiously loud. Pair your pastel piece with muted colors, like Alicia’s white top and brown boots. Remember – during spring there is no such thing as too much pastel.

3. Beauty time!

If you’re anything like us, this is your pastel go-to! Painting your nails, wearing different eyeliners and shadows, and adding some pale pink blush is the perfect way to add pastels to your beauty regimen, but still be able to change from day to day. Play up your eyes with some light purple eyeshadow, or add a pop of pink (like Kristin from Fancy Things!) to your nails.
